You are now listening to: "C.H.A.O.S. 4 LIFE" by C.H.A.O.S.
Topp Dogg Hill was founded in 2003 by CEO Infa Redz, a D.C. native that was well known for being one of the city’s best tattoo artists. He started a rap group called C.H.A.O.S. which consisted of himself, G-Face (a rapper well known for the “realness” of his raps), Mo Betta (an emcee that is known as one of the best battle/freestyle rappers in the region), and vocalist D’nsayn (which also lends his vocal talents as a back up singer for Tank). C.H.A.O.S. frequented a weekly open mic at MD based venue, Safari Steakhouse. It was there that the group networked with other artists from the area and extended invites to Infa’s tattoo shop, Topp Dogg Art Studios.  The shop became so popular, that Infa decided to create an environment where all of the artists, producers, and videographers could work together for one common goal, thus the birth of Topp Dogg Hill Records, “a self-sufficient label for Indies by Indies that will elevate DC Hip Hop from underground to mainstream”.

Topp Dogg Hill became a much sought after entity as other artists, promoters, and even some radio personalities in the city took notice of the unity and power within the label. Due to the company’s in house video production company, E1even Fi1ms, the internet was flooded with music videos by the label’s artists on a regular basis. In addition, Topp Dogg Hill started a city wide takeover and conquered venue after venue all over the DC Metropolitan Area and Baltimore with their attention-grabbing entrances (loud barking and waving “money flags”), high energy stage shows, catchy songs, and a noticeably large entourage. Promoters and club owners eventually started extending invites for Topp Dogg Hill to open up for major artists, such as DJ Unk in West, VA, and even host their own events at their venues. Eventually the label started receiving mainstream airplay on the radio and even grabbed the attention of journalist Sarah Godfrey, who went on to wrote a cover story on the union of the label’s most well known members, Infa Redz, Whitefolkz, and Don Juan in the Washington City Paper (“Breaking the Code”, Feb. 6, 2007).

Currently, Topp Dogg Hill is performing at venues up and down the east coast, recording new material, working on new film projects, and is looking for a distribution deal. In addition, the label is working on setting up a second headquarters in Jacksonville, FL.
